1. CONTEST INTRODUCTION: KSHE will conduct the KSHE 95 March Bandness Tournament of Rock promotion with (1) on-line grand prize of a $1,000 Visa Gift Card (1) text grand prize of a $1,000 Visa Gift Card. 2. CONTEST DESCRIPTION: Beginning February 19th, 2008 a bracket of 64 bands will be placed on-line and www.kshe95.com. KSHE listeners 21 or older can fill out a bracket picking which bands they think will advance to the next rounds and move on to champion. Points will be awarded for each correct pick. The highest on-line point getter wins the on-line grand prize. In the event of a tie, all eligible contestants with the highest point total will go into a drawing and one person will be chose at random as the grand prize winner. Brackets must be submitted by 3pm Central Standard Time on March 3rd, 2008.
One random text in voter, 21 or older, for each match, will receive a bounce back message stating if they are 21 or older they can respond to the message to win a KSHE Classic T-Shirt and claim their qualifying spot for the text grand prize. All eligible text in winners will be put into a random drawing at end of promotion and one random winner will be chosen for the text grand prize.
Matches will take place Monday – Friday at about 4:00pm, 4:30pm and 5:00pm beginning March 3rd and ending March 31st. Two songs will be played from each artist and listener votes decide the winner. You are voting for which band you want to win. Text in your vote to the number 77923. Text “a” to vote for the first band played, text “b” to vote for the second band played. Votes will be taken from when the first song starts to when the last song ends. You may vote for either band at any time during their respective match. The band with the most votes wins. We ask that you only vote once per match. KSHE 95 reserves the right to identify persons attempting to unfairly influence the results by placing multiple text votes from same phone number and choose to not count those votes.

4. HOW TO ENTER AND QUALIFY: Official contesting for March Bandness prizing open to Missouri and Illinois residents 21 or older. To enter the on-line bracket go to www.kshe95.com to submit your picks starting February 19th, 2008 at 6pm. Your bracket must be submitted by 3pm Central Standard time on March 3rd, 2008 to be eligible for the on-line grand prize. Matches start on March 3rd, 2008. To vote and possibly win a KSHE Classic T-shirt and qualify for the text grand prize, text message your vote to the number 77923 during the voting period. One random text in voter per match will win a t-shirt and will be qualified for the on-air grand prize. Limited to one qualifying spot per person. No purchase necessary. Sponsors are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any giveaway related materials; stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, undeliverable, incomplete illegible, or postage due mail or entries. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received via on-line entry or number of eligible texters during KSHE 95 March Bandness Tournament of Rock voting.
5. GRAND PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION: The on-line and on-air grand prize winners will be notified by KSHE 95 Marketing & Promotions Department on or after March 31st, 2008. KSHE 95, Emmis Communications, their parent, affiliated, subsidiary and successor companies, contest sponsors, other St. Louis area radio stations their affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors and advertising, promotional or judging agencies are not to be held liable if the winner cannot accept the prize due to illness, mechanical failure, inclement weather, Act of God, nor will the sponsors be held liable if the event is cancelled. All winners, by acceptance of a prize, agree to release KSHE 95, Emmis Communications, their parent, affiliated, subsidiary and successor companies, contest sponsors, other St. Louis area radio stations their affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors and advertising, promotional or judging agencies and immediate family members of such employees are not responsible for any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property, including, without limitation, personal injury or death, and claims based on publicity rights, privacy or defamation, which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize-related activity. Except where prohibited by law, winners and non-winners must consent to the use of their name, voice, picture or other likeness without compensation for promotional purposes as determined by KSHE 95 and other sponsors.
6. WINNER PRIZE ACCEPTANCE, TAXES AND FEES: No substitution of prizes is offered, no transfer of prize to third party is permitted, and non-cash prizes may not be redeemed for cash value. Total estimated retail value of On-Line Bracket Grand prize is $1,000. Total estimated retails value of On-Air Grand Prize is $1,000. Grand prize winner must claim prize value amount on income tax for tax year 2008 as result of winning grand prize. Winner will receive 1099 tax form from KSHE 95 / Emmis Communications as required by law. Grand prize winner must possess valid ID/DL and be at least 21 years of age to claim grand prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize, or fails to return the required documents, the prize may, in the sole discretion of the sponsors, be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Grand prize winner will make arrangements with KSHE 95 to pick up / claim prizes within reasonable time frame. Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. Sponsors reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or modify the Giveaway if fraud or technical failures compromise the integrity of the Giveaway.
7. ELIGIBILTY: The contest is open to legal residents of the US who are 21 years or older and reside in the states of Missouri and Illinois through the registration methods outlined above. Employees of KSHE 95, Emmis sponsors, other St. Louis area radio stations, their affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors and advertising, promotional or judging agencies and immediate family members of such employees are not eligible to enter and win. “Immediate Family” includes spouses, parents, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, children, persons who live in the same household, grandparents, step-parents, half-brothers, step-sisters, half-sisters, step-children and grandchildren. No groups, clubs or organizations may participate in this offer or reproduce or distribute any portion of these rules to its members.
8. SPONSORS: KSHE 95, Emmis Communications, their parent, affiliated, subsidiary and successor companies, contest sponsors, their affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors and advertising, promotional or judging agencies. Sponsors reserve the right to change the rules, to substitute a prize without notice, to cancel contest and to change or interrupt the rules at any time without prior notice. KSHE 95 / Emmis Communications’ interpretation of the rules shall be binding upon all participants. KSHE 95 / Emmis Communications shall not be responsible for any administrative errors involved in execution of the contest.
